Ex Enclosure—
A Handheld for Hazardous Location
The BG
Series of
handheld enclosures is now available with ATEX certification (Ex II
2 G / EEx e II). If you are working in a Class 1, Division 2 or a
Class 1, Zone 1 or 2, the Beluga Ex handheld enclosure will work
for you. Beluga Ex enclosures are ideal for use as gas
analyzers, data collectors, remote control units, or calibration
devices. These enclosures are made to take the punishment in a
hazardous location, whether in an oil rig, pulp mill, chemical
plant, or refinery. BG enclosures are offered in 3 sizes - 180,
220, and 380 mm, in a closed or open design, except for the 380
model, which is only offered in a closed design. Open designs come
complete with display screen and safety glass. These robust handheld
enclosures are manufactured in carbon loaded Polyamide 12, which helps
prevent surface static. Each enclosure features a tongue-and-groove
system with integrated gasket, thus providing ingress protection up
to IP 65.
