Made of glass fiber (25mm long) reinforced polyester plastic. Heat pressed compression molded under heat and pressure. This guarantees excellent dimensional stability under heat, excellent mechanical strength and dynamic load capacity, very low friction, excellent abrasion resistance to chemicals and weather, excellent surface finish, excellent dimensional stability and little tendency to stress and cracking.
Reinforced glass fiber fiberglass (polyester) mats come in rolls. The rolls are cut in the correct size, weighed and then placed into a heated mold. Under high pressure the material liquifies, and fills the mold completely. After a few minutes under heat and pressure, the completed housing can be removed for trimming and assembly.
In general, the resistance of this material to acids, bleaches and organic solvents ranges from good to excellent.
